November 4, 2009

Hey family,

This week went really well... except our baptisms fell... but this week we have been teaching two families and so many young men, and they all loved the church so much. But the parents aren’t legally married so we’re working on getting that done but this week we will baptize all the young men we have been teaching. I think we will have 7 or 8 maybe. Six young men one young lady and a 40 year old woman we have been teaching too. These kids are so funny and cool. When they see us walking into there neighborhood they all run grab there Book of Mormons and run to the house were we teach. It’s funny. One of them told me I look just like his dad before his dad died... but the kid is black as night so I don’t know where he is getting that I look like him, ha but now he just calls me Dad. He is funny.

That’s cool about the lathe, those dang chips... its a constant battle never ending. I’m glad trunk or treat went well... no one does anything for celebrating here; they just don’t work... these people look for any reason not to work they’re so lazy ha. But I want pics of everyone’s costumes and especially of monster’s (Monty’s). The turkey shoot should be fun .. I don’t know though because every year something else came up and I missed it ha but anyways should be fun. Does Justin get to go? He probably has something else going on too... but its not like he can hit anything anyways :) ha. Yes mom I wash my clothes and I make my bed every day... right before I go to bed. Because there is no way in the world I’m gonna let my body touch that mattress. It’s bad. I’m glad your camera class is going well. and I’m glad Monty is being trouble for Kimbo and Jared but I’d rather have a happy baby than a crying one. I wanna play with him so bad. I always get in trouble at church too cause all the kids sit by me and draw in my planner and stuff and they aren’t so quiet and people always give me dirty looks ha, but their parents love me at least.

My companion is teaching me to think like a senior comp which is good. I’m really starting to really care about the people we are teaching. Like I think of them before I think about anything else. It’s been really good. I love my comp; he is my brother. I think he will go to school in the U.S. I hope so. You guys would love him too. He told me the conversion story of his family. He was baptized at age 10, but his parents weren’t. But he got to baptize his mom about 2 years before his mission and his dad about 5 months before he left on his mission. They are both doing so well he said. He and his mom went through the temple for their first times together. I thought that was neat. But yeah everything is going well. I’ll reply to your questions e mail now. Ha you guys make me laugh. your engineer e mails... numbered and everything ha.

Love you all. Take care.
