Hey Family,
Sorry I haven’t been able to write so much these last couple weeks. I've always been on the rush and this week too, because I have to send the baptism info to the secretaries in Salvador and that takes a little bit of time. But yeah Sister Silmara was baptized and she was really tested too by Satan. Her family was freaking out about the baptism telling her that the church doesn’t believe in God and Jesus, and that we worship Joseph Smith and all sorts of stuff. But she said “I felt it’s true so I'm getting baptized”. She said if the bus would have broken she would of gone on foot to the baptism. It was really neat and spiritual.
We also had zone conference yesterday. It was really good to see President and all of the other elders even though no other elders from my group were there. That was kinda a bummer but oh well. Southworth was there and he is my brother so that was cool to talk with him a bit. He is in Weaver’s group. And yeah transfers are on the 20th so we’ll see what happens. I really think I will leave this time but who knows. I'm doing really good.
I’ll send a little story here about the baptism. So we got there a little early to make sure everything was all ready and some of the water drained out of the baptismal font… just a little bit… but I thought “no big”, I’ll just turn the water on and in 5 minutes, turn it off..... Well a little while later I was in the bathroom, and I noticed that water was starting to enter the bathroom under the door... then I remembered that the water was still turned on in the font.. and just my luck, the pump to drain the water broke... so we had to bucket the water out manually and then mop up all the water... It was a real ....trrrrrrrrrrrrreat! ha. And so to clean it up I took off my shoes and socks and rolled up my pant legs a little and everybody that walked by thought they were so funny and original telling me “Elder take off your socks.” ... implying that my white feet looked like socks ..... It’s not my fault these feet haven’t seen the sun in over a year. But it was kinda funny. After the 6th time and in the moment it wasn’t too funny, but now it kinda is. But I have to go now. I love you guys and hope everything is going good.
Love,
Elder Anderson
