July 21, 2009

Ola familia! I'm not even sure if that’s how you spell it but I know how to say it ha. Portuguese has only made my English spelling worse but hopefully I’ll eventually understand one of these languages some day. I don’t get to do much with the Mission Pres here but I do meet with the Branch Pres who I have gotten very close to. I’ll miss him a lot. I do not know the answer to any of those questions yet, sorry. Except, I’m pretty sure I won’t get to e mail you before I leave for Salvador. I’m so excited for Elder Nalder. It will be so cool entering the country. I remember how excited I was when we landed here in Brazil. The CTM is a great place but I’m so excited to go to the field. Being here 9 weeks in class all day is not easy, but it’s been good. There was a scare of a case of Swine Flu here but it turned out he didn’t have it. But our teachers say like 120 people have died from it in the U.S..? That’s nuts. Justin it’s about time you learned what pinch hitting is. Ha I’m sure you gave a great talk though. Today was my last time going through the Temple for probably 2 years. We did initiatories (sorry I can’t spell it). But it was cool because afterwards they let us just sit in the Celestial Room for about a half an hour by ourselves. It was so nice. I’m glad you got the pictures. That was fast. Street contacting in the 3rd biggest city in the world was crazy! Palesta Ave, look it up - not sure if that’s how you spell it, but it was so cool. We saw some crazy people and gave out 8 Livro de Mormons between the 3 of us and got rejected a ton! But it was really neat. I loved it. We have our last TRC this Saturday. I’m out of time but I love you so much.

Love, Elder Anderson

P.S. And yes, start sending mail to the mission. Thank you, and tell everyone!
