Hey Family,
So thanks for the video. It was really funny. I miss that monkey a lot. But looks like he is growing and loving life. Jacob’s got a cough? That’s too bad. I hope he gets better soon. Sounds like you guys had a productive 4th of July... To be honest, I didn’t even realize it was the Fourth of July until 10 at night when Elder Sanderson called and said happy 4th... I couldn’t believe it. It’s so weird being in a different world.
I have never even been to Wolf Lodge (a local restaurant that we took Justin to for passing his AP exams)... can you believe that? We had dinner in the woman’s house again. She said “do you like liver?”.... I said “No. Do you have Top Ramen?” … and she didn’t... what a blessing... But she likes me a lot so she wasn’t offended or anything.
I’m sending you guys a letter today so look for it in a couple weeks. I haven’t sent the ´pics yet. I don’t have money to send it right now. But this next week, I’ll try… for reals. But yeah so the work here is going really well. We are being really blessed. And yes there are a lot more white people here and for the most part they are more wealthy. ... But there is still poverty too and lots of drunks. This man was sleeping in front or our door when we went home and he asked for water so we gave him a sweater that was laying around in our house and water and one of those granola bars you sent me. I said “look this is a blueberry piece of heaven... I’m giving it to you if you promise you’ll stop smoking”... he said he would... I know he won’t but whatever. And yeah I got the package ha. Thanks a bunch Mom. It saved me... I love sun flower seeds and candy... it was perfect and the shorts too were perfect ... thanks a bunch. And I got some letters too so thanks. They always make me happy.
Sunday two of our families went to church and liked it a lot. They’re really making progress. We are literally watching them get happier and it’s really cool. I wrote a lot about it in my letter to you guys... This one woman was with her husband when he got shot with a 12 gauge. She got hit too but she lived and he died on top of her. ... When we told her that her family could be together again forever... she looked at me and said “Do you really think so?”... I said “Yeah but what would you do to make it happen?” And she said “Anything”. So now it just depends on her. But it’s been really neat working with these families. I just can’t wait for the day they get baptized and go through the temple... I hope I am able to see it. But I love you guys and hope all is well. Take care.
Love, Elder Anderson
