Hey Family,
Thanks for the pics, ha. Me and my comp got a good laugh out of them. Yah, it’s a lot colder here than in Porto, that’s for sure! I’m going to buy a sweater right after this. It’s still not freezing, I’ve just used a short sleeve shirt every day but it’s kinda cold.
I’m liking the ward. It isn’t super, super strong but compared to Porto it’s like heaven. The bishop called and asked if he and his councilor could do a division with us… I almost cried, ha. It was good though. He is a good guy. He is all business but he loves the people and works hard. We visited tons of inactive people and he knew where all of them live, work, and everything about their families. It was good. He is excited to work with us too.
We also have found 3 really good families that are really interested. So, this Sunday we’ll see if they will go make a visit. I hope so! They’re really good. My companion said he hasn’t had an experience in his whole mission, like we are having with these families. So, we’re both really happy.
Oh man, one of our lunches fell so we went and asked one of our investigators if she could make us lunch... that was a mistake... bless her heart! She made us a lasagna on the spot with things she had in her house... she made it with some noodles ... cheese (not a bad start)…but she didn’t have sauce so she watered down catsup to do the trick. Then she threw some vegetables in the blender and put those on there and then some left over cow stomach she had laying around and some bologna.... and then I asked her where her refrigerator was and she said she didn’t have one. So, the cow stomach and bologna was not even refrigerated.... bless her heart. I almost died .... you know when you are just fighting every bite… like really fighting… and your sweating... and you know that tomorrow you will be on the toilet for a good 3 hours... that was about what I was thinking the whole time. But, we filled our stomachs. Ha, well I’ve got to go.
I love you guys. Take care!
