Hey there family!
So, this week we had another training meeting in Salvador. That’s why I’m writing you today. I got back this morning. It was pretty wild but it was fun and we learned a lot. At the end of this transfer we will have a meeting with Pres. Oaks up in Salvador... but it’s a secret ok? I’m really excited.
Sounds like Justin’s date actually went well. Maybe he is a ladies man after all. Kimbo and Jared are moving again? Wow!! They better not still be there when I get home. Monty and Jakob can though. So… they hadn’t received my package yesterday (at the mission home) but maybe they got it today. The lzs (zone leaders) are coming home tomorrow so maybe they will have it. Thanks for sending it.
So, my suit is kinda worn out. The suit jacket and the pants are now different colors and President wants us to look good for Elder Oaks coming. So I was wondering if… for an early Christmas present, you could give me some $ to buy a new suit. This p-day I will go shopping and see what we’re looking at but if I could buy a new one that would be nice. Next week I can have more details.
So this last week we got a call from someone telling us that they know a family that was baptized but went in-active that live on the other side of the world. So we went to visit them and she said she had been praying for the missionaries to pass by her house. Well, we talked with her and her husband and they have a really tough situation but we took them to church Sunday and their 2 daughters and we are going to baptize their 10 year old daughter. It should be cool. We’re really excited and so are they! They are a super humble family and they love the church, they just fell away a little bit. They’re excited to come back. I know the Lord watches over us. Elder Vitelli and I have been working our buns off literally so hard to find some good baptisms and then out of nowhere the Lord helps us out. It’s funny because we are knocking so many doors and talking to everyone in the streets and the Lord blessed us with a baptism that didn’t even come from all of our hard work. But I know it’s because of the work that this happened. I know the Lord knows us and blesses us.
I hope you’re all well. I love you all. I can’t wait to see you all again but I don’t want my mission to end. It’s weird but I hope you’re all good. Take care.
Love,
Elder Anderson
